Sunnyside of Denver

This project is a spanish Colonial type built in 1894 in the Sunnyside Neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. The entire home is made out of brick and sits at 798 square feet. We fell in love with this home the second we walked in! The ceiling height is 10 feet tall, the white oak hardwoods are original to the home, and all the trim and transom windows are also original. This detached, single-family, 1-story ranch originally had just 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. We reworked the entire footprint creating not only an open concept with the modern kitchen and living room but were able to add an extra 3/4 bathroom and a laundry area. The home now includes 1 full bath, 1 3/4 bath, 2 bedrooms, master walk-in closet, living room, kitchen, laundry and mudroom. We restored the hardwoods, trim, transom windows, and exposed all the brick walls. Backsplash in both bathrooms and kitchen is a simple white subway tile. We did marble counters in the bathroom and quartz  in the kitchen.
