Inspiration for this project came from a herd of cattle tromping through the snow. The soft fir, coziness of a fresh snowy day on the farm reminded me of the word Hygge; Norwegian/ Danish word for cozy. This home will be filled with bright whites, greys and dark teal with lighter natural wood tones. This home sits on Mariposa St, which is the spanish word for Butterfly. Built in 1891, this home is our oldest fixer upper yet! Despite being the oldest, it was by far in the best condition out of all of our homes. You could tell that the owner had pride in her home ownership. All of the animal paintings and bathroom art was hand painted by this sweet lady. Currently the home sits in the Lower Highlands (LoHi) of Denver, Colorado at 830 sqaure feet and has 1 full bath, 1 true bedroom and 1 non conforming room. This project will be different from all of the others as we are adding sqaure footage with an addition on the back! Stay tuned!
